27/11/2021 – Cup day at Bonnevoie

Today we host three cup games at Bonnevoie:

U15 Boys – 16:00
HC Standard – CHEV Dierkich

U17 Boys – 18:00
HC Standard – HB Käerjeng

Men2 – 20:00
HC Standard – HB Esch

Before we have a look at the games we invite you to keep your fingers crossed for our U17 girls who have their cup match at 18:00 in Bascherange against Käerjeng.

We wish all of you good luck today!

U15 Boys – 16:00
HC Standard – CHEV Dierkich

In the first game of the day our U15 will face Diekirch. The two teams already played against each other in the championship. In the game of 23/10/2021 in Diekirch the HC Standard won with 34:13. In the champisonship HC Standard is currently classified as 1st (together with Berchem) whereas Diekirch takes the 6th place (with one game less than Standard).

Therefore, our team is considered as favorite but we will not underestimate the team from Diekirch.

U17 Boys – 18:00
HC Standard – HB Käerjeng

In the second game of the day HC Standard plays against HB Käerjeng. As Standard is the clear favorite in the first game, this game has different signs. Both teams played against each other  last weekend. It was Käerjeng which celebrated a big win with 50:27. It will be interesting to see how Standard adjusts the tactics with the new insights about Käerjeng and if Standard can show improvements.

So, we aim to show the spectators that we are better than last week’s result.

Men2 – 20:00
HC Standard – HB Esch

The last game of the day is a very special one. It is a reunion. A reunion of Standard, Yannik Colas (in his second game today after the U15) and Lionel Perignon.

Lionel Perignon the coach of Esch returns to Bonnevoie where he was the head coach of the first men team of HC Standard for the last three years. Nothing else is needed so that both teams will be 100% motivated.

As the leader of the championship Esch is favorite against HC Standard which  the 6th place.

According to our head coach Yannick Colas, Standard will show full commitment and will try everything to keep up with the opponent as long as possible. Maybe there will be a surprise at the end.
